Chicago Sinfonietta Celebration of Dr. King’s Legacy

January 18, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join the Nation’s Most Diverse Orchestra for its annual musical celebration of Dr. King’s Legacy.

Dr. King dared us all to dream of a brighter future for all people. This annual, and highly-anticipated, crowd-pleaser celebrates  our future and our past through the eyes of the next generation. We open with a new symphonic work written and conducted by Jherrard Marseille Hardeman, a 17 year-old African American composer, followed by celebrated cellist, Sujari Britt, a prodigy since the age of four, joins the orchestra for Saint-Saëns’ Violoncello Concerto No.1.
