Jean M. Prendergast Rooney is a judge on the Cook Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. She was appointed in November of 2010 to replace Daniel E. Jordan. She was elected in 2012 to a full term that expires in December of 2018. Rooney began her career as a law clerk for Justice Mary Jane Theis on the Appellate Court and Justice Mary Ann McMorrow of the Supreme Court. Prior to her judicial appointment, she was a shareholder of Schuyler, Roche & Chrisham, P.C. The Illinois State Bar Association says of Rooney: “Judge Rooney received high marks for her substantial litigation experience and legalabilities. She is praised for her diligence, integrity, and judicial temperament.”
