PNC supports a progressive workplace that incorporates diversity and inclusion in its day-to-day business practices. It sponsors initiatives and offers classes to help customers achieve their financial goals, including Spanish-language seminars on financial planning, small business flow and first-time home-buying; support for several programs and organizations that mentor women entrepreneurs; early childhood educational and awareness materials in Korean, Mandarin, and Spanish, offered as part of a 10-year, $100 million school readiness program, PNC Grow Up Great and PNC Crezca con Éxito; a network of over 450 PNC-certified women’s business advocates who understand the opportunities and challenges for women in business and are engaged in providing the business and personal financial resources they need; and celebration of nationally recognized history and heritage months in select markets to support customer, community; and workforce initiatives. PNC’s preferred vendor list includes more than 1,700 minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned and disadvantaged businesses. In 2010, it spent over $200 million with them.
