Kathryn Welds, PhD, ABPP, ACC
Dr. Kathryn Welds is an organizational psychologist, global change consultant, and executive coach with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations and their people guide complex, cross-functional, global transformations.
She advises organizational leaders on structuring, communicating, and measuring change impact to increase effectiveness.
Kathryn previously served as an organizational psychologist, technology consultant, software industry analyst, marketing and sales leader, and led consulting practices at Mercer Human Resources Consulting and Oracle Corporation.
She guided program development and launches for global initiatives at Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard, and Levi Strauss & Co., Inc. and is currently an internal organizational effectiveness consultant with Kaiser Permanente Northwest.
Consulting, expatriate assignments, and speaking engagements have taken her to more than 90 countries (half in emerging markets), and she’s authored more than 40 publications on technology, workplace, healthcare, and educational issues.
Academic background includes Scripps College (B.A., Psychology, Phi Beta Kappa), Harvard University (M.A., Ph.D., Personality and Developmental Psychology), and post-doctoral fellowships at Cornell University Medical College (New York City), California Pacific Medical Center (San Francisco).
She earned post-graduate Certificates at Stanford University, Columbia University, University of California, Cisco Systems, Oracle Corporation, and Hewlett Packard Company.
Kathryn is a licensed, board-certified psychologist in California and Oregon, and an Associate Certified Coach.
She has taught at Harvard University, Pepperdine University, University of California at Los Angeles, University of San Francisco, and others.
