Amanda Gorman Is Climbing That Hill. Now if Only The Rest of Us Would Join Her

LAURA WATERS: Amanda Gorman stole the show at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris this week. This 22-year-old Black daughter of a Los Angeles school teacher, born with a speech impediment, recited her poem, “The Hill We Climb,” to a rapturous reception across social and mainstream media. Appropriate, no? Amidst a plague, an attempted insurrection, and a spiraling series of crises, this young woman clad in canary yellow gave us hope for healing and for justice.  CLICK FOR MORE →
