Visit Bentonville Announces New Sales Director

Amanda Khanga brings industry experience as she is promoted to Sales Director.

BENTONVILLE, Ark., December 11, 2019 – Visit Bentonville announced that Amanda Khanga would become the organization’s new Sales Director. Khanga, leading all sales team efforts, which include cycling events, sports events, and bus tours. In her new role, she will continue to head up all meetings and events sales in addition to her Director’s duties.

Amanda Khanga graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2004 with a BA in Business Management. Upon graduation, she moved to San Jose, Costa Rica, to explore her first endeavor in the hospitality industry as the General Manager of the Hemingway Inn. Upon her return to the states in 2006, she moved from her hometown of Deer Park, Texas, to Fayetteville, Arkansas, and accepted the position of Front Office Manager at the Embassy Suites, Rogers. Over the next 11 years, Khanga would hold the positions of HHonors Guest Manager, Sales Manager, Catering Manager, Director of Sales, and Food & Beverage Manager as she gained experience at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton, Bentonville, Holiday Inn Convention Center, Springdale and The Chancellor Hotel, Fayetteville. Her commitment to hospitality leadership was recognized with a Spirit of Care award in 2010 from the National Hilton Worldwide offices.

Through her work in hotels, Amanda worked with Visit Bentonville as a community partner. When the opportunity to transition her customer service and sales skills from a single property to a city-wide effort became available, Khanga joined the Visit Bentonville team in December of 2017. As the Meetings and Events Sales Manager at Visit Bentonville, she was responsible for soliciting the unique venue locations and memorable experiences offered in Bentonville to meeting planners across the nation, to bring positive economic impact to the community. She also worked with event planners to facilitate their individual needs to host meetings and events throughout the year successfully.
