Steven R. Barth is a partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP where he is co-chair of the firm’s national Transactional & Securities Practice. Mr. Barth practices in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations and buyouts; venture capital and private equity fund formation and portfolio company investment; public and private offerings of equity and debt securities; public corporation securities laws and reporting compliance; corporate governance; and the organization, development and financing of startup and development stage corporations. Mr. Barth also has extensive experience in counseling mid- market and closely held firms, including many family businesses. He has helped many mid-sized companies adopt and implement their strategic plans and transition ownership and management to the next family generation, to employees and to strategic or financial buyers. Cynthia Hardy Young transforms organizations, focusing on turnarounds that create sustainable value. As Global Head of Agency at AIG, Young leads a $7.5 billion distribution channel operating in over 40 countries. Cynthia is the former President of Encompass Insurance, a division of Allstate Insurance, where she was responsible for profit and loss for a $2.5 billion operation. Cynthia has managed profit and loss of multi-billion dollar divisions in publicly-traded companies and practiced as an attorney in large law firm and corporate environments with an emphasis on corporate defense, directors’ and officers’ liability and risk management. Cynthia’s background includes serving as Personal LInes Division President of Hanover Insurance, Vice President of Product Management at The Hartford, as well as holding various P&L roles at The Hartford and Progressive Insurance. As an attorney, Cynthia handled directors’ & officers’ and other professional liability claims made against banks as part of Progressive’s Professional Liability Group and was a litigation associate at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.
Cynthia is a member of the Advisory Board of Work At Home Vintage Employees and Youngblood Executive Services. She was profiled in “Board Members to Watch,” by Directors & Boards Magazine. Dr. Kalyan Raman is the Global Buy Chief Technology Officer at The Nielsen Company. As CTO, Kalyan is responsible for definition and implementation of the global technology strategy for Nielsen business with operations in over 100+ countries. In the last 5 years as CTO, Kalyan helped drive a Open, Simple and Integrated technology environment at Nielsen. Prior to Nielsen, Kalyan served as the Business Intelligence Practice leader for TCS. Kalyan holds master and doctoral degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. His research interest include algorithms, performance engineering and optimization.
Jennifer leads the new Cricket as President. Previously, Jennifer was President of Aio Wireless and before Aio and Cricket merged, she led the strategy leading to Aio’s launch in May 2013 and its successful introduction to the marketplace as a fast-growing brand. Prior to that, Jennifer was senior vice president of AT&T Mobility Strategy, where she was responsible for shaping long term plans and priorities to preserve value and create new growth opportunities within AT&T’s wireless business. Jennifer has served in many roles throughout the AT&T Mobility business, including Vice President and General Manager of AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets for North, Central and West Florida. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.
