JC Penney has associate resource teams (ARTs), which are voluntary employee groups that meet regularly provide a deeper understanding of diverse cultures. These ARTs include the Women’s Initiative Networking Group for Success. The retailer also hosts inclusion and diversity training workshops to help their leaders and employees. JC Penney provides webcasts about customers’ different needs. These webcasts discuss such topics as working with people with disabilities, understanding sexual and gender orientation, and recognizing generational differences.
