Staples provide associate resource groups, which offer employees mentoring, skill development, and internal and external networking opportunities. The company has groups for women, LGBT, African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Asians and Asian Americans, and young professionals. Staples have also created Parenting Network and Caregivers Network groups to meet the different needs of employees and their families. About two years ago, the company developed and expanded its mentoring program, connecting its leaders with female and ethnically diverse employees in close professional development partnerships.
