Diversity Mission: Intel’s employees are as diverse as our customers, vendors and colleagues in the global market. This worldwide perspective helps us anticipate and provide for the growing needs of a changing marketplace. The company focuses on inclusion, seeking to respect, value and celebrate the unique points of view and opportunities that come with our diverse employee population. We understand that inclusion requires maximizing our differences, not minimizing them.
Intel strives to build a strong supportive environment for diverse employees to achieve full representation at all levels. Intel has a corporate-wide, nine-month leadership development program for mid-level African and Hispanic employees. Employees have exposure to an external consultant as well as internal senior leaders throughout a curriculum centered on personal branding, strategic thinking, working across cultural differences and mentoring relationships. In 2013, Intel will expand that program to target and support our African-American and Hispanic employees stepping up to leadership. Attendees will receive guidance on how to drive better business results and manage better self-awareness as they navigate the next step in their careers. In 2013, Intel will also host a professional development summit to bring together the most senior African-American and Hispanic leaders at the company to discuss our diversity strategy and improve alignment across both communities.
