Alton Brooks is the Assistant Vice President Operations at WellStar Health System. He is administratively responsible for all surgery practices across WellStar Medical Group. Prior to his current position, Alton was the Senior Director. He manages the hospital Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Pathology, Palliative Medicine and Nursing Home physician practices across WellStar Medical Group. In 2017 A.J completed LEAD Atlanta, a leadership development and community education program. He also mentored high-achieving, first generation college students and introduced them to professions within the healthcare industry. A.J received his B.S. in Public Health, Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and his M.H.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University.
