Desmond Whitney has served as an HR Business Partner at Tech Data since September 2016. In this role, Desmond consults and executes on the Human Resources function including talent management and retention, organizational and performance management, succession planning, training and development as well. Desmond joined the company in October 2007 and has served in Product Marketing and Human Resources (w/various roles). He’s also created and led an Employee Resource Group, aided in Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and developed critical relationships across all functions within Tech Data. Desmond is a Member of the- National Black MBA Association and National Society of Hispanic MBA. Desmond holds a bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Business Administration from Florida A&M University.
