Monifa is currently the Assistant Vice President at Carolina’s HealthCare System. As the AVP, She Develops and enforces medical staff bylaws and other applicable rules and regulations across the system. Through relationship building and collaboration across multiple disciplines, she has led the development of the first unified application process for all onboarding providers and Allied Health Professionals which addressed the chief complaint of the onboarding process. Along her career journey, she’s accumulated several awards. Some of them being Carolinas HealthCare System Pinnacle Award Finalist (2017), Community Leader of the Year Award (2016) and Outstanding Emerging Business Leader of the Year Award (2014). Monifa has obtained both a Bachelor of Science, Psychology from South Carolina State University and a Master of Public Administration from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
