Arlia was named to his current position 2009 with responsibility for the firm’s $2.5 billion hedge fund portfolio. In this role, he is charged with delivering above equity returns with lower volatility. He joined GE in 2007 as vice president of strategy globally for GE Money, which was GE Capital’s consumer finance and retail banking business, with presence in over 55 countries and total assets over $200 billion.Prior to GE, he worked at McKinsey & Co., where he was one of the first in his class to be promoted to engagement manager, serving a wide range of Fortune 100 clients in varied industries focusing on corporate and business unit strategy and sales and marketing strategy. Before McKinsey, Arlia’s professional experience includes strategic leadership positions at Sistran and KPMG. He started his professional career while attending university at night and spent three years in financial services in the equity research and trading arenas.
