Byers joined Citi in 2011 with over 21 years of banking experience. He’s responsible for the banking markets in Texas and Illinois. The Chicago market, where the Central Region is headquartered, has over 2,000 Citigroup employees, 73 full services branches, and an extensive ATM network. As the senior banker in the market, his role is to ensure delivery of a superior client experience across segments and drive revenue growth. Prior to Citi, Byers led the Atlanta market for Wells Fargo, overseeing 200 locations and 5,000 team members. During his time with Wells, he led the retail banking divisions in Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, and Florida. He joined Wells in 1991, and held numerous positions there, including retail banking executive, retail banking director, business banking manager and regional president. Byers serves on the Carter Center Board of Councilors and is a board member of the Atlanta Education Fund and 100 Black Men.
