Kim helps clients navigate the laws of national security, international business, healthcare, and restaurant business. She returned to Quarles & Brady following four years as a White House appointee to the U. S. Department of Homeland Security and as general counsel to Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano. Kim began her career as a corporate finance lawyer where she practiced in the area of corporate finance and securities and mergers and acquisitions. She was awarded the Coast Guard Public Service Medal by the US Coast Guard Commandant for outstanding service during the 2010 BP Gulf oil spill; was listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America; was included in Southwest Super Lawyers; was recognized as one of five “Legal Stars” by Arizona Woman magazine; and named a Best Lawyer Under 40 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Kim also lectures on professional ethics issues in corporate and transactional practices.
