Quiroz sets manufacturing strategy for Whirlpool’s 36 facilities worldwide and answers to the executive committee. Before joining Whirlpool, Quiroz was head of operations, Asia, Hydraulic Brake Systems, for Continental AG, a tier 1 automotive supplier with $34 billion in annual sales. He has more than 20 years’ experience running complex matrix global manufacturing operations in North and South America, Europe, and Asia, primarily in the automotive industry. His accomplishments include the establishment of multiple greenfields in Mexico, Brazil, China, and the U.S., the growth and development of manufacturing facilities in Japan and India, and a two-year factory turnaround in Argentina. Quiroz is a member of the Manufacturing Strategy COO Council, a cross-industry group of leading manufacturing companies advancing best practices and a member of the University of Michigan’s Industry Advisory Board for Global Operations within the College of Engineering and Business School
