Susan Mullaney oversees operations at Kaiser Permanente’s two Northwest Region hospitals, its Oregon/Southwest Washington networks and its ambulatory surgery centers. She served as hospital administrator at Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center in 2008 and became vice president in 2013. Susan oversaw the expansion of the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, and the opening of the Kaiser Permanente Center for Heart and Vascular Care. Susan is overseeing the opening of the Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center in Hillsboro, Oregon. The facility is the first Kaiser Permanente to earn Gold LEED certification for energy efficiency and environmentally friendly design. Susan earned a master’s degree in health care policy and management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and completed an administrative fellowship at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Susan has also served as a board member of the local chapter of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
