Hemant is responsible for the procurement of all nonmerchandise (Indirect) spending within Sears Holdings Corporation. In this role, he has category ownership for advertising and marketing, IT, paper and print, facilities, capital, energy, corporate and human relations service, etc. Before joining Sears, he spent 13 years at PepsiCo, where he worked in IT, quality, operations, procurement and supply chain. He started his procurement career working with PepsiCo’s independent bottlers and integrating them to corporate procurement. Subsequently, he assumed responsibility for managing the beverage can portfolio for PepsiCo in North America. In his finance roles, he was accountable primarily for all FP&A related to global indirect procurement, and also had exposure to all key commodity areas in directs, financial hedging, etc. He has a bachelors degree in civil engineering from India, a masters of science degree in Information Systems from University of Texas at Arlington, and an MBA in Finance & Leadership from New York University.
