While earning his bachelor’s degree at DePaul University, Marcell Taylor worked as a resident advisor, while maintaining a position on the DePaul University Mock Trial Team. Taylor also served on DePaul University’s Student Government Association as Senator for Community and Government Relations. After Graduating from DePaul in 2009, Taylor continued his studies at Chicago-Kent College of Law. While at Chicago-Kent, Taylor was recognized for his skills in advocacy and persuasion. Because of his talent, he was invited to join Chicago-Kent’s, Nationally Ranked, Trial Advocacy Team. With the help of his team, Taylor won numerous awards in competitions across the country. After graduating with certificates in Criminal Litigation and Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Taylor joined the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office-Child Support Enforcement Division. As an Assistant State’s Attorney, it is Taylor’s responsibility to ensure that every child’s right to the physical, mental, and monetary support of their parents is protected.
