MaCalus is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Foot and Ankle Surgery Division Chief, and Residency Program Director at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center. He has a board specialty certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. MaCalus has a plethora of honors recognitions such as Best Doctors from Pittsburg Magazine, Gateway Medical Society Physician of the Year and the Society of Black Academic Surgeons Leadership and Faculty Development Institute 2018 Awardee.
Before accomplishing all these major achievements, MaCalus graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor in Biochemistry with a minor in Biology. He also graduated from Howard University College of Medicine with a Master’s in Medicine.
