Through diverse roles, Lewis Brown, Jr., focuses on making an impact for marginalized communities. As Associate Vice President of Talent Development for Zurich North America, he co-constructed an enhanced, 3-year Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belongingstrategy with the CEO and Executive Leadership team. He also co-leadsZNA’s apprenticeship program that opens professional career pathways for underrepresented groups. Beyond Zurich, as founder and President of Group Vigilant, a community development organization, he has pioneered programs on community-police relations, youth mentoring, job readiness, AIDS awareness and more. He served as Associate Pastor at New Beginnings Cathedral of Worship and has become a widely recognized speaker on topics related to the justice system, mass incarceration, race relations and more. Channeling his love for acting and music into impact, he created the Life Music Workshop, serving adjudicated youth in the Colorado Division of Youth Corrections.
