Kevin Briggs is the Administrator of Laboratory & Respiratory Care Services for Novant Health. He is also the interim Director for Diversity, Inclusion & Equity. In this role, Briggs supports strategic initiatives designed to improve health equity, spearheading workforce development efforts around attracting diverse candidates, youth engagement and pipeline establishment. He co- founded the Barbershop Initiative, a community engagement effort to help establish relationships in underserved areas. He established the Healthcare Explorer program, introducing area youth to career opportunities in health care. Prior to his current role, Briggs was the Administrative Director of Network for Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Briggs initially began his professional career as a practicing cytologist.

In 2017, He completed his fellowship with the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He received his Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the Medical university of South Carolina.
