Fashion Bomb Daily’s Claire Sulmers and Actor Sarunas Jackson of Insecure Serve As Co–Hosts
CHICAGO, IL (February 11, 2020) — Sip & Marvel, the charity fashion event founded by NFL’s Christopher Smith and his partner, De’Andra Alex serves as a platform to empower designers of color. In its second year, the charitable fashion show will be held on Thursday, February 13th, 2020 at Adler Planetarium, 1300 S Lake Shore, Chicago, Illinois during NBA’s All-Star Weekend 2020. Proceeds raised will benefit Chris’ Closet Creative Arts Program (CCCAP). Sip & Marvel will highlight emerging designers’ from around the world and promote each designer’s personal collections of menswear, womenswear, couture, and pre-collections. The fashion show will feature celebrities, Olympians and athletes from the NFL and NBA in the evening where sports and fashion come together for a great cause.
Some of the evening’s designers include Romeo Hunte (New York), Obulier (Los Angeles), Leschina Nchami (New York), Six.Four (Phoenix), Tokyo James (Nigeria/London) whose designs have been featured in ELLE and Vogue on the likes of Jessie J and Burna Boy, and The RXCH (Los Angeles) who has dressed Gabrielle Union and Cardi B. Celebrities and athletes walking the runway for a great cause, include Christian Kirksey (Cleveland Browns), Larry Ogunjobi (Cleveland Browns), Keion Adams (Pittsburgh Steelers), Christian Blake (Atlanta Falcons), Mack Wilson (Cleveland Browns), Dalilah Muhammad (Olympic Gold Medalist), Ryan Davis (Toronto Argonauts), Sarunas Jackson (HBO’s Insecure, BET’s Games People Play), and John Franklin – (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

ABOUT CHRIS’ CLOSET CREATIVE ARTS PROGRAM
Launched in 2018, Chris’ Closet was founded by former Cleveland Browns Christopher Smith to create impactful and formative change in underserved communities around the United States. Chris’ Closet Creative Arts Program (CCCAP) offers high school aged youth an opportunity to explore careers in the fashion industry. CCCAP offers a six-week fashion immersion program at no cost to the participants, which will launch summer 2020.
