WSJ Just Did A Huge Piece On Disability Employment

WSJ just did a huge piece on disability employment, and I wanted to see if you’re interested in speaking with someone at Allsup Employment Services (SSA-funded Employment Network) about the resources and support available to help people with disabilities get jobs, as well as how employers can benefit from a diverse workforce. This new report on disability inclusion further emphasizes that it’s time to stop talking, and start hiring.

Hi again – just making sure you saw this new report on disability inclusion. Companies who make this part of their talent strategy see 28% higher revenue, 30% higher economic profit margins & net income doubled. LMK if you’d like to speak with someone at Allsup about the resources and support available to help people with disabilities get jobs, and the employer benefits of a robust, diverse and competitive American workforce.

Hi there,

A new report found that companies who hire people with disabilities outperformed their peers between 2015 and 2018. On average: 28% higher revenue, 30% higher economic profit margins & net income doubled.

Also, the Department of Labor found employers who embrace disability as a component of their talent strategy report a:

  • 90% increase in retention of valued employees
  • 72% increase in employee productivity
  • 45% increase in workplace safety

Hiring people with disabilities is simply good for business. 56M Americans (1 in 5) have a disability, but despite all the “awareness,” the unemployment rate for this highly motivated, untapped resource is twice as high as those who are able-bodied (7.3% vs. 3.4%). It’s time to stop talking and start hiring.

Employment Networks like Allsup Employment Services help thousands of people with disabilities across the nation find or return to jobs, streamlining the process and completing all the paperwork. They guide people through Social Security’s free Ticket to Work program, which protects Social Security Disability Insurance and Medicare benefits as participants transition to full-time work.

Please let me know if you’d like to speak with someone at Allsup about the resources and support available to help people with disabilities get jobs, and the benefits of a robust, diverse and competitive American workforce.
