Ntosake is the leadership development training program of the Gamaliel Foundation for women by women. The Gamaliel network is a faith-based community justice organization that trains leaders from all over the country. The network includes 43 affiliates in 14 states and has trained leaders for over 35 years. Ntosake was birthed in 1993 when it was realized that women needed to be developed to become powerful leaders in their local communities and in the wider region.
Individuals participating in this session will receive an integrated, multi-level, curriculum-based course intended to develop powerful leaders in the public square. It utilizes faith as the moral agency to propel women to address social and systemic injustices in their communities and in the nation. Ntosake is poised to challenge and train women to acknowledge the intersectionality that threatens their voice and diminishes their participation as equal citizens in our country. Ntosake trains women to confront the dynamics that work against their opportunities for economic, educational, health, and political well-being, while urging women to create a vision for themselves while acknowledging the heroine within.
Participants in this session can expect to identify their fears and passions concerning public issues, the basic means of establishing connections, and the beginnings for developing their sense of power.

Leading the Change to Full Equity in the Workplace
Corporations believe they have answered the call for creating equitable organizations by requiring unconscious bias training, creating safe spaces for unapologetic sharing, as well as CEO’s declaring DE&I pledges to publicly show their commitment; however, the data tells a different story. We know that diversity and inclusion can’t stand alone and the journey to equity is still far off, with no clear line of sight to transforming your organization to an inclusive and equitable culture. What’s next for sustainability when race relations continue to permeate our communities and spill over into the workplace? What do we need to do to reconstruct the impact of DE&I? Is it even possible in our lifetime? In this discussion, executive leaders will dialogue about the chess moves they have championed to show value to business leaders and why it’s imperative not to do the same thing if expecting a different outcome. Hear the executives’ call to action for achieving the next level of sustainability.
