Advocate Aurora Health again named ‘Top Workplace’ by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Distinction recognizes tradition of excellence, strong legacy of engagement and workplace culture

Milwaukee, WI — Advocate Aurora Health, one of the 10 largest not-for-profit, integrated health care systems in the nation, has been recognized among the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel 2020 Top Workplaces in southeastern Wisconsin.

The newspaper says the recognition is the “the longest-running and most prestigious celebration of the region’s great places to work.” It measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

“Especially in the face of a pandemic, one of our most important priorities is attracting and retaining the most talented workforce,” Advocate Aurora Health President and CEO Jim Skogsbergh said. “We know that if our 75,000 physicians, nurses and team members trust this is the best place to work, our patients will trust this is the place to help them live well.”

This is Advocate Aurora Health’s second consecutive Top Workplace recognition by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel since Aurora Health Care and Advocate Health Care merged in April 2018. Prior to the merger, Aurora was an eight-time winner of the award. Similarly, Advocate Aurora Health and previously, Advocate, received Top Workplace accolades from the Chicago Tribune eight times.

To earn the Top Workplaces honor, team member feedback was gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage LLC.
