DiversityMBA names 50 Best Companies
For Diversity and Inclusion for 2016

Chicago, IL – Diversity MBA, a national leadership organization targeting leadership and talent management among professionals, managers, and executives, has named Carolinas Healthcare System as the No. 1 company in its 2016 rankings of “Best Places for Women & Diverse Managers to Work.” AT&T is No.2 and The Clorox Company is ranked third.

All of the companies selected this year, the tenth annual list of “Best Places for Women & Diverse Managers to Work,” will be profiled in the Diversity MBA Magazine issue that comes out in August
2016. (A complete list of winners is at the end of this press release.) The companies will formally receive their awards at Diversity MBA’s annual Leadership Conference and Awards Gala to be held Sept. 14 and 15, 2016, at the Sheraton Lisle in Chicago.

“With the changing dynamics of the global population, American companies are investing more and more resources in creating inclusive cultures that are diverse. CEO commitment is at an all-time high, where leaders understand that the employers of choice are providing great places to work,” said Pam McElvane, CEO, DiversityMBA. “Although we recognize it is a journey to create inclusive diverse cultures, we are excited to celebrate the intentional progress these companies are making to ensure that their employees and leaders represent the diversity of the consumers in the marketplace.”

Diversity MBA’s methodology consists of a multi-tiered process: 1) registration of participating organizations, 2) completion of our survey, 3) rating of participants with the highest scores, and 4) secondary research to determine the Top 50. While more than 500 companies registered to participate in the survey, only 310 qualified for the competitive rating to qualify for selection. Companies are selected based on scores for representation, board diversity, recruitment, workplace inclusion, retention, succession planning and accountability.

The annual competition also recognizes “Best in Class Companies” in the areas mentioned above, as well as specialty categories. Health Care Service Corporation is the number one Regional Company.
