Henderson is responsible for successfully enrolling, retaining, and graduating students in a manner that is not only efficient and effective, but also prepares students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take on the demands of today’s competitive marketplace or graduate/doctorate-level education. With over 17 years of experience in higher education, her previous roles her included provost, dean, department chair, and professor at various institutions. In addition to overseeing the admissions and recruiting team, Henderson administers the student affairs, marketing and communications, institutional effectiveness and research, financial aid, and academic advising teams. She serves as chairman of the Provident Foundation, which raises to raise money to help send African-American youth to medical or nursing school. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a mentor for the Delta Sigma Theta GEMS program, a minority mentoring program for young women in high school.
