Vila handles the insights work for Campbell North America, the firm’s largest division, which includes U.S. soup, sauces and beverages, Campbell Canada, North America food service, and North America consumer affairs. He is also the leader in bringing together Campbell’s global insights teams to share best thinking and practices across the organization. His work guides Campbell’s marketplace activities, such as advertising, product and package design, innovation, pricing, and in-store activities. A key element of his approach to driving business success involves a full immersion into consumers’ everyday lives by interacting with people as they shop, cook, dine, and play to identify meaningful and lasting ways to connect Campbell’s brands to their lives. Vila graduated high school at the age of 15, and actually started college when he was 14 years old. He obtained two undergraduate degrees by the time he was 19 and completed an MBA program at age 22.
