Paulina Johnson, MBA Ford Global Account Manager Arcelor Mittal

Over the past nineteen years, Paulina Johnson has excelled in the Sales & Marketing Department for ArcelorMittal. She has led in several roles with increasing responsibility while managing multi-million-dollar accounts for the Ford and General Motors book of business. In her current role as the Ford Global Account Manager for ArcelorMittal North America, she is responsible for providing commercial leadership and management, developing, and implementing a selling strategy, and driving global cooperation and decision-making for the Ford account. As the Great Granddaughter of a patient in the Tuskegee experiment and a 2nd Generation Steelworker, she is humbled to serve as the only African American senior leader within ArcelorMittal North America. Paulina is a proud native of Gary, Indiana. She overcame many obstacles as a teen mother and became the only individual to obtain in three years, a BS Degree in Computer Information Systems from Indiana University Northwest. She subsequently completed an MBA in Marketing Administration in 2002. Paulina released her first book, “I Am You-Achieving Against All Odds” as an inspiration for those who read to pursue their dreams despite any obstacle they face. With a passion for diversity and inclusion, Paulina proudly served as the 2015-2018 President of the National Black MBA Association Detroit Chapter. Her additional non-profit leadership includes currently serving in dual Presidential roles for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Tau Alpha Omega Chapter, and the Vision Fair Foundation, a 501c (3) nonprofit organization, both servicing the Redford, Michigan community. Paulina has dedicated herself to teaching others to pursue their dreams relentlessly. Her life achievements have been featured in various media outlets and she is a sought-after motivational speaker. Paulina is an award winning professional and has received the following honors: Crain’s Detroit Business and Michigan Chronicle 40 Under 40, Rising CEO and Vanguard awardee by Detroit Young Professionals, and 2018 Professional Woman of the Year by National Association of Negro Business and Professional Woman’s Club, Inc., and 2021 Michigan Chronicle Woman of Excellence. Paulina currently lives in the Metro Detroit area and in her spare time enjoys reading, walking, and listening to music.
