Amber Bennett is an Associate at Mayer Brown LLP where she commits herself to pro bono matters. Prior, she served as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also clerked at the Illinois First District Court of Appeals and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. For several years, Bennett served as Treasurer for the Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago.
Bennett has been recognized on multiple occasions by BWLA and other organizations for her leadership and community service. Bennett believes it’s important for younger women to see black women lead and excel. She serves as a mentor to high school and undergraduate students with the Chicago Scholars program in addition to serving on its Associate Board. Bennett received her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law.
