Carlos Gonzalez is Worldwide Director of Regulatory Affairs at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, the leader in science-based nutrition for pets. He is a leader in the industry, currently serving as an advisor to the Secretary of Agriculture and U.S. Trade Representative. Further leadership positions include Chair-elect of the American Feed Industry Association Board of Directors and President of the Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations. Gonzalez has prior experience as Global Lead for Regulatory Affairs at Novus International and with the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, serving in Washington, D.C., and the embassies in Mexico and Peru. Currently, he volunteers with American Corporate Partners, an organization dedicated to assisting U.S. Veterans. He received his Bachelor of Science in natural resources at Cornell University. At Yale University, he earned his MES in International Environmental and Pesticides Policy, then his Ph.D. in Food Safety and International Trade.
