Carmiña Santamaria is a serial- entrepreneur, founder of Safer Routes, Kwema and Invertible, as well as co- founder of Tabacus Initiative. Safer Routes is Santamaria’s current venture. Safer Routes brings together all the lessons learned in the personal safety and security industry. They use Artificial Intelligence to identify risky areas, create Safety Maps, and help users identify the best and safest routes for field work employees. Santamaria started her career in the corporate world, working for Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies. She started her first company in 2012 with Tabacus Initiative, an edtech company that provided tablet-based software optimizing the use of bandwidth in the classrooms. Santamaria studied at the University of Chile where she earned her Associates degree in project management and Master of Science in finance.
