Doug Thompson serves as the inaugural Vice President for Equity and Inclusion at Gustavus Adolphus College. Thompson has more than 15 years’ experience in higher education administration in areas such as academic advising, student affairs, enrollment management, and diversity and inclusion. He is a member of the National Association for Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). Thompson earned his B.A. in marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University, his M.A. in strategic communication and leadership from Seton Hall University, and Ph.D. in leadership for the advancement of learning and service from Cardinal Stritch University.
