(Newark, NJ, July 1, 2013) – Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has been recognized by Diversity MBA Magazine as one of the top employers in the nation for diverse managers and women. For 2013, the magazine ranked Horizon BCBSNJ fourth on its “50 Out Front Companies” for Diversity Leadership: Best Places for Diverse Managers and Women to Work list. Improving upon last year’s position of #12 on the same list, Horizon BCBSNJ has now appeared in Diversity MBA Magazine’s rankings for four consecutive years.
The ranking criteria for the 2013 50 Out Front Companies includes companies that implement intentional strategies based on accountability, succession planning, workplace inclusion, representation, recruitment and board diversity, which allows and encourages managers and women of diverse backgrounds to excel and develop into leadership roles.
