Janet M. Smith-Hill has served as the corporate senior vice president for Novant Health since March, 2008. Previous to this, she served Novant Health as the vice president of HR for the Southern Piedmont Region, director of employee relations, director of accreditation and regulatory review, and as the nursing standards coordinator. Prior to joining Novant Health, Janet was the patient outcomes manager for Lexington Memorial Hospital. In this role, she was responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of the Patient Outcomes Management Program (a derivation of a case management approach to delivery of patient care with quality-oriented outcomes). She was also responsible for principally assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical care path (a multidisciplinary tool that organizes and sequences care initiatives within a pre-determined time frame). Janet co-wrote a successful reward, recognition and renewal grant proposal for Lexington Memorial from the N.C. Center for Nursing. Janet co-wrote another successful grant proposal from The Duke Endowment for an outpatient diabetes management program at High Point Regional Hospital.
