Martinez has responsibility for developing and implementing human resources strategic direction for IT, brand marketing, corporate development, and digital in the UK and Canada at Capital. These groups provide support for all the firm’s lines of business including bank, card and financial services as well as all the core technology and infrastructure for the company. During his 10 years with Capital, he has supported nearly every major line of business and played a number of leadership roles within HR focusing on change management, culture and values and HR consulting. Prior to joining Capital One, Martinez worked at Citigroup and Allied Signal Aerospace. He has more than 16 years of overall experience in HR working with senior leaders and developing and implementing people strategies.
