Cornwell joined Walmart US in January 2012 after over two years with Sam’s Club as senior vice president/GMM of home & apparel. She was previously merchandising vice president of Lowe’s Home Improvement and also held vice president of marketihng roles at Lexington Furniture and HanesBrands Inc. She is responsible for the sales and profitability of the multi-billion dollar ladieswear apparel business at Walmart. This includes merchandising (buying) and product development responsibilities. In addition to this, the quality & technical services team and the trend/brand/color team for Walmart’s total apparel business report to her. She is officer sponsor of the PRIDE (LGBT) associate resource group and a member of the President’s Global Council of Women Leaders. Cornwell is a member of the Board of Directors of both SoNA (Symphony of Northwest Arkansas) and Hope Cancer Resources. She is active in both formal and informal mentoring activities.
