Hinds has oversight of the federal employee health benefit program administered by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. Her responsibilities include oversight of claims processing, customer service, technology and training, to support the FEP products, physician groups, members and facilities. She’s also responsible for ensuring that employees achieve service, timeliness and quality standards as defined by internal/external clients, regulators and the marketplace, and continuously reviews and analyze processes and workflows to ensure efficiency. Prior to her current position, she was a senior manager, which entailed the creation and managing of a centralized department of 40 employees to focus on heavily regulated claims processing. Her experience as an information system engineer allows her to bridge IT and service operations to enhance business value and drives operational efficiency by brining valuable insight and knowledge of claims processing systems.
