Qualcomm has employee resource groups, which offer activities, support networks, and professional development opportunities for employees with various experiences and backgrounds. These groups often assist with the company’s recruiting efforts. One of the ERGs is Qualcomm Women in Science and Engineering (QWISE). A group of Qualcomm’s women employees started the QWISE in 2004. The group offers discussions about professional development, career coaching, leadership, mentoring (for both full-time employees as well as interns), innovation, and technology issues.
