National Diversity Council
Sofia Reed joined the National Diversity Council in 2011 and became the Director of Training, Development & Regional Operations in January 2017. In this role, Sofia reports directly to the CEO and strives to ensure that staff members receive the support they need to fulfill the NDC’s mission, vision, and goals. She spearheads internal training and development programs and assists with recruitment and selection, operational management, and business development. She received the 2016 Annual Diversity Summit Panelist Award
HR Tampa holds an annual Diversity Summit that aims to promote the importance of diversity and inclusion within the HR profession. The 2016 panel comprised three professionals representing the National Diversity Council, PNC Bank, and Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick. Sofia graduated magna cum laude from Brown University, completed an M.S. in HR Management from NSU, and obtained her PHR, SHRM-CP, and NDC-CDP credentials.
