Sandy Cross, CDP
Senior Director, Diversity & Inclusion at PGA of America
A member of the PGA of America staff since 1996, Cross serves as Senior Director of Diversity & Inclusion and is responsible for developing, embedding, and advancing PGA’s diversity and inclusion strategies for cultural and business impact within the workforce, workplace, supply chain and the community. Cross drives the organization’s integrated approach to diversity and inclusion, ensuring it does not run separately from the day-to-day business operations and decision making across lines of business.
Prior to her appointment in the newly created Senior Directorship, Cross served as Director of Women’s and New Market Initiatives, leading the golf industry’s “Connecting With Her” strategic initiative to grow women’s participation in golf. Cross was also Director of Business Development for nine years securing and cultivating some of the Association’s most coveted and long-standing partnerships.
Cross serves on the Advisory Boards of CaddieNow, Women’s Golf Journal, and Black Girls Golf. She holds a Masters of Sports Administration from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from University of Buffalo where she played NCAA Division I volleyball. She earned her Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) credential from the Institute of Diversity Certification in 2016.
