DIVERSITY MBA MAGAZINE PICKS 50 OUT FRONT FOR DIVERSITY LEADERSHIP:
BEST COMPANIES FOR MANAGERS TO WORK

CHICAGO, IL- Diversity MBA Magazine is scheduled to release its coveted “50 Out Front for Diversity Leadership: Best Places for Diverse Managers To Work” in its spring 2011 issue that is scheduled for worldwide distribution on April 25th.

The specialized and innovative publication that targets people of color and women in leadership, professionals, students, and the business community, will feature rankings of corporations that offer the best work environments and opportunities for women and people of color.

Research methodology for 2011 broadened and varies slightly from past years, according to Pam McElvane, publisher/CEO. Recruitment pipelines, for example, were expanded to include veterans and the disabled. The retention category also incorporates inclusion programs as well as retention ratios that help determine sustainability, she said.

“The succession category will continue to evolve as we learn what are the most impactful methods and practices used to develop women and people of color,” McElvane says. “The accountability category is most comprehensive, including CEO and board commitment, diversity measurements, reward systems for diversity performance; diversity reporting structure, and how external influences impact leadership development.’’

Diversity MBA’s 2011 ranking was very competitive this year. It includes a 30 percent increase in participation by companies, shifting the rankings to a new level. The competitive landscape of the corporate marketplace is testament to how CEOs have made a commitment to driving diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Diversity MBA Magazine also is pleased to announce that for the third year in a row, Kaiser Permanente is the No. 1 company for diverse managers to work.

“This is unprecedented and is a true testament that Kaiser Permanente is not only an industry leader, but sets the standard for the marketplace,” says McElvane.

Diversity MBA Magazine provides research reports on diversity benchmarks for talent retention, industry diversity programs, and performance in the diversity arena through its partnership with DePaul University. The magazine is distributed to more than 400 business schools, professional and business associations and entrepreneurs; and 30 countries worldwide through QS Top MBA World Tour.

Published quarterly, Diversity MBA Magazine reaches more than 1 million readers online and in print.
