CHICAGO, IL– Diversity MBA Magazine, a national leadership publication targeting people of color and women in leadership; professionals, students, and the business community publishes its sixth annual list of “50 Out Front for Diversity Leadership: Best Places for Diverse Managers To Work” in its spring issue, which will distributed early May 2012.

The ranking for the 2012 50 Out Front Companies list has expanded its research evaluations to include companies that implement intentional strategies based on accountability, succession planning, representation, workplace inclusion, recruitment and board diversity; that allows and encourage managers and women of diverse backgrounds to excel and develop into leadership roles.

Pam McElvane, CEO & publisher, says,” We have strived for the past five years to establish benchmark metrics that are meaningful and sustainable for corporate America to support their efforts in establishing programs that will create access for women and people of color to move into the top leadership roles.”

Diversity MBA Magazine is elated to name Accenture as the new Number One Company for the “Best Places for Diverse Managers to Work”. Accenture has consistently moved up our list proving that this organization is committed and has the metrics and systems in place to be sustainable and move women and people of color into top leadership roles.
We take the widest possible view of diversity and are committed to creating and providing an inclusive, open and equitable environment for individuals with different backgrounds, lifestyles, needs and interests,” said Nellie Borrero, managing director of Inclusion & Diversity at Accenture. “Our company, our people and our clients all benefit from diverse global teams with different backgrounds and experiences.”

Diversity MBA Magazine strives to continue to recognize companies that drive sustainable results in developing leaders in Corporate America so we have created a new area of distinction; the Diversity MBA Hall of Fame. Companies that have consistently achieved the top spot on their rankings demonstrating institutional diversity and inclusion in the workplace is who this honor is designed for. Membership in this exclusive class requires that companies three years consecutively achieve the top spot. Kaiser Permanente is our first inductee into the Diversity MBA Hall of Fame based on their achievement of receiving the top spot for three consecutive years.

“We are proud to once again be recognized by DiversityMBA for our efforts in promoting workplace diversity, “said George Halvorson, chairman and chief executive officer of Kaiser Permanente. “This Hall of Fame award represents our unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion. We firmly believe that diversity throughout our organization – from frontline caregivers to top leadership and board members- allows us to best support and improve the health of diverse communities we serve.”

Coupled with our number one company awarded to Accenture; Kaiser Permanente will also be recognized for the HALL of FAME recognition that may not be awarded but once in three to four years. Diversity MBA
