Yen-Ching Wu is a toxicologist at McCormick where she leads ingredient and product safety assessments, advises the business regarding emerging scientific and regulatory issues, and engages externally to promote science-based regulations. She formerly worked at the Food and Drug Administration where she assessed the safety of novel packaging and also published research focused on the safety assessment of food additives and infant products. She received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and her post-doctoral training at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, where she published research on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. She currently volunteers at her children’s local Chinese School, acting as a Director of Development to help fundraise and lead initiatives that support the well-being of the school. Additionally, she is Chair of McCormick’s employee ambassador group, the Asian Diversity Group, a team dedicated to promoting cultural awareness, member professional development, and business connectivity.
