Capital One Financial have continued to progress on their journey toward building a diverse workforce and fostering a company-wide culture of belonging. Their efforts are led by their
Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) team and DIB Champions across the lines of business who create accountability for action and results and elevate dialogue across the company. Alongside the DIB teams is their Advocacy Response Team (ART) who monitor, assess and determine the best methods to demonstrate Capital One’s support on social, environmental and political issues. Their work entails anything from legal advocacy and political engagement to strategic partnerships that enforce company values. Additionally, Capital One is committed to making supplier diversity integral to their business practices. They actively encourage the use of certified minority, woman, LGBTQ+, veteran, service-disabled veteran and disability-owned businesses as suppliers, contractors and subcontractors. Capitol One has also stepped forward to help those who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Through partnerships with Callen-Lorde Community Health Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem they have helped to to provide high quality healthcare for LGBTQ+ communities as well helping BIPOC communities thrive.
