“At PNC Financial services creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is a high priority.”

In order to ensure that all of their employees have room to grow, learn and expand their opportunities in an encouraging environment, PNC financial has implemented several programs geared towards growth and community building. One of these initiatives is the PNC Inclusion Circles. These are peer-to-peer learning groups driven by employee communities that are focused on a specific topic. In 2020, PNC’s Inclusion Circles Program partnered with the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University to create the READY Mentoring and Mentoring by Design programs. Participants who attended all fall mentoring sessions received a $500 completion grant which was applied to their spring 2021 tuition bill. Due to the success of the program, PNC is also working on creating a variety of Inclusion Circles to meet the needs of its growing employee base, including, but not limited to Employee Relocation, Paternal Support and the Importance of Networking. Additionally, PNC developed a listen and learn response to 2020’s many social injustices. This included Executive leadership-led Town Halls, new training on unconscious bias, and racial equality. Their Diversity & Inclusion team was heavily focused on preparing managers to hold inclusive conversations.
