We at the Navy Office of Community Outreach travel the globe to collect Sailors photos and distribute them to their hometown media. These photos are great for running as news items of simply creating a social media post that increases engagement with your communities.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 11, 2019) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Sergio Medina, from Chicago, Ill., sends signals to the Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195)aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gonzalez (DDG 66). Gonzalez is underway conducting composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 12. The components of CSG 12 embody a “team-of-teams” concept, combining advanced surface, air, and systems assets to create and sustain operational capability. This enables them to prepare for and conduct global operations, have effective and lasting command and control, and demonstrate dedication and commitment to becoming the strongest war fighting force for the Navy and for the nation.
