Seven principles to a purposeful business and life, driven by attitude not age
By Ruth Klein
Every now and then there is a profound societal shift, one that leaves a great gulf that is fixed between what was and what is. Author and speaker, Ruth Klein, identifies the latest seismic shift in her new book, Generation Why Not?® and then offers practical and doable exercises to navigate this new demographic shift.
This new demographic shift, Generation Why Not? is allowing women and men to honor who they are and not using their birthdates as roadblocks to stop them from reaching their dreams to start a new business; create strong and innovative teams, change careers, start a second or third career or up-level their businesses and lives two to ten-fold and beyond.
Generation Why Not?® explores the critical balance we all seek personally and within our businesses; and to newly define what a purposeful business and life means and how to achieve it.
Klein says that success begins not with the external circumstances but with an internal code she calls Quantum Synchronicity®. If we can bring ourselves to believe that anything is possible and we are in alignment with what can be for us, then it is so.
Progress toward the life and career we want begins with taking small steps in order to create positive momentum. Successful people in the new normal are going to be the ones that overcome their fears and their negative self- talk and then step out to start toward what can be.
This book will give you the tools you need to produce powerful and life-changing results. Imagine yourself creating and then living the life you have always wanted: Unapologetically bold, authentically you, doing what you are designed to do and loving it. Chasing down your dreams and even creating new ones.
Ruth Klein says that’s completely doable and ideas are only as good as their implementation. She can show you how.

An Excerpt from Generation Why Not?
How are the Intentions of Generation Why Not® Similar?
- Generation Why Not® Intentions are based on their foundational values and beliefs
- They are open to possibility
- They believe anything is possible
- They know they are Co-Creators with the Universe
- They know that the Universal Laws are unbending and they embrace them
- They embrace the Universal Laws rather than resist them
- They are careful and conscious not to create Paradoxical or competing Intentions….
- Their intentions are based on abundance, not lack or fear
- They are true to their word for themselves and others
- Their word to themselves matter
- They stay focused on their Intentions
- They value clarity of purpose, clarity of their values and clarity on the right actions
- Their commitment to what they want and desire is greater than their commitment to fear
- They listen to the wisdom of their Intuition
- They are committed to the journey as much as they are to the outcome
- They allow for the Universe to bring them results by being unattached to the specific outcome
So much of Intention is “how” you go through it… your feelings, your state of Being, your attitude and the energy of how you want your career and life to unfold. You may want to ask yourself throughout the day, “What is my intention for this experience?” “What is my intention for today?” “What is my intention in the upcoming meeting?” Intentions allow you to “view” what’s next. And the beauty is that you are the creator of what you want.
Q & A with Author Ruth Klein
Q. Why did you decide to write this book?
A. I have always been a positive person who sees what’s possible. I want others to see what’s possible. Their lives can be so much more. Most people innately know that, I think. But their fears or their self-talk derails them. I get that because I’ve been there myself. The book will give them the tools they need to get started and be successful. Honestly, I wish I had a book like this throughout my career and life when I have been stalled, usually by my own self-inflicted limitations.
Q. Generation Why Not feels like one of those books that announces what’s ahead rather than reacting to it. What prompted you to write this book and why now?
A. First of all, I have always been a Generation Why Not person. Throughout my life and career, I have tried to find roles that were a great fit for my mission in life. I love people. I know that we can all do more. We have unique gifts and talents. I have been lucky to be able to find or launch companies that allowed me to use all of my gifts and talents every day. There’s a lot of joy when you get to do that. You create something great, or at least you have a chance to. You’ll notice that I didn’t mention any of the false hurdles that we create that keeps us from accomplishing those things: Age, fear, lack of experience, negative self-talk, etc. I realized a few years ago that there was a convergence happening that would be profound and would change everything. This book is an effort to identify that change and to encourage the readers to go for it because now is the time. The sky is the limit if we believe that it is.
Q. What do you hope to accomplish with this book and your work?
A. I would like to think that readers will unshackle themselves from their limiting beliefs and get going on what’s next for them, no matter what they naysayers around them may think. I would hope that they would never settle for average. It’s a new world, one that is OK with diversity and even encourages it. Age, race, and demographics don’t matter anymore. If you want to try it, try it. Be great. Enjoy every minute of your work and the whole of your life.
